A key feature of the BIES is a regular survey of the Indonesian economy, the Survey of Recent Developments. The survey is a unique feature of the journal and appears in each issue. It seeks to engage a range of Australian, Indonesian and international researchers and policy makers in the analysis of current economic policy issues. The Surveys continue to be widely referred to by governments and international agencies.
