By September 2003, business in Indonesia may be very different from the way it was in September 1997. In six years, many aspects of the business environment will have changed, and in response firms will have altered the ways in which they structure and manage themselves. Or will they? The 2003 Update will provide a glimpse of what has changed and what has stayed the same in business in Indonesia.

Political update Dr Sidney Jones (International Crisis Group, Jakarta)
Economic update Dr M. Chatib Basri (University of Indonesia, Jakarta)
